黏土砂砂處理線主要作用是回收利用造型線的舊砂，通過落砂—破碎—篩分的等步驟處理后混合搭配新砂，重新為造型線造型主機提供射砂用砂。正常運行生產中全自動水平造型線單主機需配備25噸的黏土砂砂處理生產線，即主機聯動不停機不下芯的情況下，以510mm x 610mm的砂箱尺寸造型機，每小時的黏土砂消耗量為8噸左右。

黏土砂砂處理線單機設備主要包含造型線尾部震動落砂機，高級磁選、回砂皮帶、破碎機、滾筒篩分機、六角篩、沸騰冷卻床、脈沖除塵器、斗提機、直角篩、舊砂沙庫、高速轉子混砂機以及料倉等，實現整線一體化、標準化和自動化，提高混砂效率節省人工勞動力，同時改善了鑄造廠以往臟、亂、差的作業環境，符合環保政策要求。

如若工廠廠房空間高度或企業資金受限制，使用“擺地攤”的形式單以造型機代替手工造型，也可搭配簡易的砂處理線，但鑒于以往的現場使用情況來看，簡易砂處理線主要存在的問題在于無法處理舊砂長期反復利用中積累的粉塵，特別是以下覆膜砂泥芯較多的鑄件生產，需定期往舊砂中摻入新砂保證型砂的透氣性，并且在舊砂的混砂過程中人工對于水分以及原料的搭配不容易掌控，因此我們建議針對于鑄件要求較高，光潔度要求較高的應當配合標準的黏土砂砂處理線。（上圖為兩臺550mm X 650mm/460mm的全自動造型機使用設計的30噸黏土砂砂處理生產線）
